Our History

Richard Hubbard Design was founded in the fall of 2000 by Richard Hubbard with the primary focus of extraordinary design through various mediums. While metalwork is our specialty, we also utilize many wood, glass and stone details in our work.  Our main materials are steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, bronze and brass. Every piece that emerges from the studio is a locally, handmade piece of design.

Since custom design is one of our signature services, we encourage our clients to work as closely as they would like with us throughout the design process as we create everything from railings and stairs, gates and fireplaces to hand-crafted furnishings on their behalf. In addition to our custom architectural work, we offer furniture and accessories that range from consoles to coffee tables, light fixtures to planter boxes. These items can be chosen from our existing lines or we can work to create custom pieces to fit your needs.
